About

Hey gorgeous,

Can I tell you how this started?

I got tired of dainty, plain jewelry. Actually, no. I got done with it. Piece after piece that looked sweet in a jewelry box and vanished the second I hit the stage. Nothing reflected the fire, the color, or the sparkle I felt when I danced, or honestly, when I was just out living my life. So I did what any slightly stubborn, glitter-obsessed woman would do. I started designing them myself.

Every choker in this collection has been on my neck before it’s ever on yours. I wear them, I dance in them, I sweat in them, and I flip upside down in them. If a piece isn’t comfortable, if it doesn’t hold up, if it slaps me in the face mid hair-toss, or if it leaves my skin irritated or green, it doesn’t make the cut. And if it can’t be seen from the stage? Babe, what’s the point?

But I want you to know who you’re buying from, because Chokehold is more than pretty things.

I believe in bodily autonomy, no exceptions. Your tattoos, your piercings, your transition, your implants, your abortion, your aesthetic. It’s your body, and you get to own it like the damn queen you are.

I believe trans rights are human rights. The stats are public. If someone is more upset about pronouns than mass shootings, their compassion needs rewiring. Fast.

I believe you don’t have to love every part of yourself every single day to deserve adornment, luxury, or visibility. Body positivity, body neutrality, wherever you are today is enough. Every body belongs in the spotlight.

And I believe in burning the patriarchy and passing the glitter. Fashion rules, beauty standards, respectability politics? F*ck ’em. Your life isn’t a dress rehearsal for someone else’s comfort.

Life should be wild, weird, and full of sparkle. You’re allowed to be too much. Freedom is sexier than control.

And with enough pixie dust, fire, and femme rage, I really think we can make this world way more fun, more loving, and radically f*cking free.

So go put something sparkly on. I made it for you.

XO,
Kate
